A little bit about Me and Arron:
The year is 2013, at the local Red Robin. I had just moved to Nashville from California about 3 weeks ago, and I’m working one of my first shifts as a waitress. My section is packed and I have messed up my third table in a row. Needless to say I’m panicking at this point. I come back from a table that just yelled in my face, and now I’m crying, in front of everyone. Then there comes Arron, “What’s your section?!”. I gestured to the corner and he went and took care of everything. I walked outside to get myself together, and he came and got me after a few minutes. He told me my tables were taken care of and are leaving happy. He cheered me up and we went about our night. Little did I know I just met the man I am going to marry.
We started dating January 2014. We instantly connected with our stupid jokes, love of Nashville and music. We would spend our days off going on drives, binge watching The Walking Dead, and having adventures in a city that was new to both of us.
We moved in together February 2015. Now this might seem all peaches and cream but we are not peaches or cream. We’ve had our ups and downs. We’ve struggled with communication, schedules, my anxiety, and learning how to be a real couple together. All those long night conversations were worth it though.
December 23rd, 2015 was the day we became super official; Engaged. We planned a trip to Florida for Christmas. We rented a condo right on the beach. I had a hunch he was going to purpose but I still wasn’t 100% sure. We got to the condo late afternoon, and after we got done running around looking at this amazing place we sat down at the table. I was painting my nails, I had to make sure they looked good if my hunch was right, and he asked me if they were dry yet. I responded with a confused, “Yes”. Then he pulled out this perfect white and grey box with a small delicate bow on top. He told me he had something he thinks will go well with my new nail color. Then all of a sudden he was down on one knee, and said the four words I’ve been dreaming about since I was a kid; “Will you marry me?”. Needless to say I said Yes instantly, and we enjoyed our vacation as an engaged couple. I’ll admit, it’s still weird saying “fiancee”, but I’m excited to get used to it. Now we are off to our next adventure, home owner-ship. Wish us luck on this one!
