Do you watch movies or TV shows and just want to be where they are? Whether it is because the place is beautiful, or you just want to recreate the scene in your own life. I have a few of those and some really stand out to me. I am an habitual day dreamer and I’ll admit the below scenes have entered those many times. Below are some of the scenes I would love to visit and maybe even re-create. Maybe this is my inner fan girl coming out, but this is really what I think about when I see these movies or TV shows.
Sitting on the hood of a convertible looking out to the Manhattan Bridge as seen in Coyote Ugly. This is after their long night full of sorting fish and getting a new comic book. This was every girls go to movie when I was a teen ager followed by non stop talk of boys and how we were all going to end up with someone who has an accent. (spoiler, that doesn’t happen.)
Have a picnic at Alamo Square in San Fransisco California. This one has been in my head since I can remember from everyone’s favorite family, the Tanners! Full House makes my heart so happy and I hope to visit this place with my future children. Me and Arron will annoyingly sing the Full House theme song and they will be embarrassed.
Venice, Italy. Another classic chick flick from my teen age years, Chasing Liberty. The scenes in Venice feel so romantic and spontaneous that it makes my soul restless. Also Matthew William Goode was my celebrity crush for a good 3 years after I was shown this movie. I mean an accent and that smile?
Central Park where The Doctor, Amy & Rory are reading before they break all of our hearts. (Spoiler Alert – this is the episode when Amy & Rory… leave us.) The episode starts with them reading in Central Park and enjoying the day. I would love to visit this exact spot, and feel connected to my favorite companions one last time. I’ll admit this might be my inner fan girl right here, to sit where The Doctor sat? Are you kidding me! Sign me up!
**This makes me happy and sad, if only Rory knew what was about to happen.
Angel’s Tunnel in Central Park. This is where my favorite villainous couple finally sealed the deal, Chuck Bass and Blair Qaldorf. They sneak away and have a spontaneous ceremony that is still somehow perfect. “Three Words, Eight Letters”. Que my heart breaking and the romantic in me filling with joy.
The fountains in front of the bellagio casino in Las Vegas Nevada. This comes from one of my favorite movies, Oceans 11. This is the final scene when they have gotten away with the biggest casino heist in history. They all take a moment in front of the fountains and part ways as if it never happened. The peacefulness of this scene and the feeling of accomplishment. I’ll look over those fountains one day, just with fewer people to the right and left of me. But if Brad Pitt, George Cloony or Matt Damon want to join me, that is 100% okay. Just sayin’.
Keep day dreaming,
